Maybank / Maybank Islamic Underwriting Rules, DSR Tiers & Package Details
How Maybank Calculates Your DSR & Net Disposable Income
Maybank and Maybank Islamic enforce a strict tiered Debt Service Ratio (DSR) matrix anchored on net statutory income. Applicants with net take-home pay below RM 3,500 face a conservative 40%–60% DSR ceiling to safeguard Net Disposable Income (NDI ≥ RM 1,400). Once net income exceeds RM 5,000/month, Maybank expands its allowable DSR cap to 70%–80%.
Variable Income, Commission & ASB Dividend Policy
Recognizes 100% of basic salary and contractual fixed allowances, 80% of 6-month averaged sales commissions/overtime, and allows ASB Financing (ASBF) dividend income held for over 12 months to offset ASBF monthly commitments.
